Do you get out of bed immediately in the morning...
or does it take you a while after the alarm clock rings?

6. My alarm clock is across the room.
So I have to get out of bed to turn it off. I had gotten good at turning the alarm off in my sleep when it was next to the bed.

19. LOL. I've had to resort to that method in the past.
Now, though, I can be pretty confident of getting up after about 3 or 4 hits of the 'snooze' button.

:-)

7. When I am awake I'm 100% awake and when I sleep, I'm 100% asleep.
Edited on Thu May-13-04 10:58 AM by GumboYaYa
Once I open my eyes I'm running at full speed. It drives me insane to lie in bed. When I go to sleep, most nights as soon as I shut my eyes, I am sound asleep. I can sleep through anything, but if I wake up, I'll never get back to sleep.

10. no. alarm must go off for
2 hours before I wake up. it's embarrassing. I'm nearly impossible to wake up. I've had entire conversations in my sleep.
I tried putting the alarm clock across the room, but then I became very adept at walking across the room, then crashing into bed again (repeat).
I've never been an early riser. I am also very crabby when I wake up. Such a treat for my partner : )

23. Ha! That's me exactly.
I have been known to press snooze repeatedly for up to 3 hours and wake up late, not even knowing that my alarm had gone off.

It doesn't matter whether I have the alarm by my bed or across the room. It doesn't matter if I have one alarm or three. It doesn't matter if I have gotten 3 hours of sleep or 13... I just can't ever seem to wake up!

26. I'm the same way!
Even if I go to bed early, I just can't hop out of bed in the morning. I have always hated mornings. On days I don't set my alarm, I sometimes sleep until noon or later. A few weeks ago I slept straight through until 3pm! (went to bed around 1:30).

20. You've got spunk
I hate spunk.

Me, I am the grumpy, hit-the-snooze-eight-times, type. Especially now that with the baby and all I have to set my alarm for 6 am, which for me is killer.

29. I pop out of bed
The alarm clock is set to the most obnoxious "classic rock" music station. I have it across the room to avoid the "snooze" thing. If I don't hear the alarm, my wife kicks me. 5am comes quickly

31. I f***ing hate mornings
always have, always will. I have delayed sleep phase syndrome and a non-24-hour circadian rhythm, so keeping a "normal" schedule is torture for me. Every f***ing weekday morning, I go through the same internal dialogue, wondering what excuse I can possibly use to come in late again. The alarm clock is not my friend. The snooze button is the only reason I haven't taken a hammer to the damned thing.
