For me...touching a live wire to see if it had juice going to it...don't ask...

1. I once reached down and grabbed a full

gas can (W/ ample gas spilled on the top of) while holding a lit cigarette in the same hand.

it was off...just not fully stopped. Ouch!

I still have all my fingers but I did lose a small piece of my little finger...

and instead of raising the ramp, I panicked and pulled my foot out from under it and broke my little toe.

5. Used a credit card that wasn't mine
It was sent to my dorm room by accident. I was so poor at the time that I wasn't thinking strait and me and a friend went out and bought a bunch of food with it. We were both arrested. I got community service and a "check bouncing" class and I had to hock my guitar to pay for court costs. Thankfully they didn't press further charges, and I got off really easy. Stupid stupid stupid.

I don't know how many hours I've spent here when I could have been:
1. reading a good book,
2. fishing,
3. doing my job at my place of employment,
4. registering voters,
5. visiting my parents,
6. helping my daughter with her homework,
7. Playing with my 4 dogs,
8. Playing with my two cats,
9. Barbecuing
10. did I mention fishing?

Is there a 12-step program for DU addicts??

13. TWO fifths of cheap tequila in 45 minutes.
A half-assed suicide attempt on my 21st birthday. I'd just lost my job, and in two weeks was going to be evicted from my apartment: the start of 6 months homeless on the street. Bought them with what was left of my last paycheck. I woke up in the hospital.

15. For shear danger
I drove a motorcycle at 14 when I had no idea how to drive anything. I kept inadvertantly doing wheelies and flipped it over at low speed (it was a small one, but ouch). It was on my grandpa's farm so I didn't endanger anyone else, but I was utterly clueless. At one point, I was going about 50mph on a gravel road. Stupid. (And lucky.)

Other stupid things- too many to count.

One day i was working on the motor, when the hood brace got in my way. Without thinking i gave the brace a shove with my left arm. It was at that moment the hood came crashing down on to the bridge of my nose....Don,t try this at home kids.

Walked home (a couple of miles) for a spare set of keys but I was locked out of the house - waked to my aunt's for a spare key to the house - back to the house - got the car keys - walked back to the gas station - got in the car - drove off - half way to where I was going, I ran out of gas.
