Dryer Lint---Any hints
OK - I have done 6 loads of laundry today with about 6 more to go. I am drowning in the stuff. I know I should be hanging the undies out on the line after I beat them with the rock-but I don't. Anyway, does anyone have any nifty uses for the stuff. Could I strew it across the trees for the birds to use building nests Could I compost it
What about a pillow-would that even work

What do you do with yours.

Sorry my keyboards screwy and I cant use the question marks---I am not ignorant just a little illiterate.

1. Tinder For Campfires?
If it wasn't so flammable, you could use it for stuffing in a quilt.

17. Great way to "recycle" TP rolls, too...
Stuff 'em with dryer lint and use them as firestarters.

From experience, don't pack them really tight or they won't burn nearly as well.

...works with paper towel rolls, too.

7. make paper
homemade paper is a fun craft project.
If you have never done this before, there are some good sites on the web I'm sure. You would probably want to use some newspaper or other actual paper product in the mix

particularly good if you are washing mostly cottons like denim or towels.

8. What a trip
I'm doing laundry as well, and I thought of a pillow as well. It's soft and it smells good. But if it is flammable, not a good idea.

Great minds think alike and do laundry on the same days.

13. A lot of birds do like it
and squirrels and such will sometimes collect it, too. I always stuff fresh dryer lint in my birdhouses in spring.

19. Stop drying your clothes on such high heat. all the lint is your CLOTHES
falling APART.

You're cooking them!!! stop it!

use low heat or the clothes line. Turn dark clothes inside out to prevent fading.

Unless clothes are heavily soiled, never wash in hot water, always wash on the delicate cycle.

20. OMG -Don't hate me
I confess--I have been torturing my wearing apparel. My mother instructed me to do this. It was under her direct order that I wash the whites in hot, hot water. I have even been know to use bleach.
I am just a poor sinner who was following orders. It wasnt my fault.
