I have never seen an episode of "Fraiser"
except the Simpsons episode. And therefore that makes me better than all of you!

1. That's too bad...any book lover would catch alot of references...
...the casual viewer would miss. I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I discovered Frasier in reruns, when I got home from work and wanted a half hour of vegitating...would laugh out loud at least once per episode.

4. I am one of those
anti-sitcom snobs, to be brutally honest. I watch cartoons and documentaries when the TV is on and the occasional movie, but the cable is mostly for the DMX music...

3. For the last four seasons - you haven't missed anything.
Prior to that, it was a good show.

17. There was a similar episode near the beginning of the series.
There was a new station manager, played by the actor that was Caroline in The City's long term boyfriend. He thought Frasier was gay, then was under the impression that Martin his father was, and then he said, "But Niles, come on!"

18. I must admit, I haven't watched many episodes
But I think I recall that one you mentioned.

This one, since he actually leads the advances on to get opera tickets, just goes over the top.

5. And I never saw one episode beginning to end of Friends
But being a Cheers fan, I had to watch Frasier the first few years, but I stopped watching some years ago. Not bad, not great. OK when nothing else is on.

7. Early episodes were funny
But when the writers had Niles and Maris divorce, it took the tension out of his attraction for Daphne, which was a source of much humor. "Frazier" was good for about 4 years and then it just sort of got tired.

19. Not watching Maris was hysterical.
Who would have thought the "skinny" jokes, etc could be so funny.

16. I liked Frasier. Great literary references juxtaposed
only moments later with cheap slapstick. It's one of my favorite comedies of all times.

But Kelsey Grammer is a pig.

20. Never been a big fan
It's not my kind of humor. I don't want to think that much when I'm watching a sitcom. Plus, i dislike Kelsey.
