I really liked "Hellboy"
Definitely the first movie based on a comic book that I enjoyed. Humorous and sweet (in it's own way). Ron Perlman was terrific and perfect for the role. Hey, demons and Nazis guarantee a gem!

3. I heard it was a labor of love on behalf of the producers
yet the crappy trailer stuck in my subconscious and I never saw it....

I went and wasted my money on that steaming pile of crap known as "Van Helsing" instead... it had a good trailer. My brain was like "Steven Sommers is going to ruin it, he sucks, dude"... but NOOOOO, it had a good trailer.

I'll never get that money back... :(

5. All this time...
I thought he was wearing goggles.

Guess I should have read one or two of those comics.
