Are you a nightowl?
Things quiet down here so much after midnight (I'm central time zone).

I can't believe there are so few nightowl types. And it's only, what, 1:00 am on the west coast?

Surely I'm not the only one that's regularly up this late?

2. I can't sleep before 3 am PST.
I hate daylight. That's why I want to move to north Canada for the very long nights. Getting away from Bush would be a bonus. Placing tinfoil on the windows for the other six months would help me get through the sunshine. Maybe I should see if mister Burns wants to put a big dome over Eugene for me. 24 hours of darkness would get me out of the house more often..

3. I'm here...
Usually am, but by this time of night I have little of value to offer.

4. I'm UP!!
Yes, I'm a nightowl, I have no idea why. Maybe it's this coffee I'm drinking! Ha. Usually I don't do that, but I'm a nightowl just the same. My DH is the opposite, asleep by 10 and up at 5. Probably the secret to our marriage, we never see each other!

5. The robins are already starting their songs
Edited on Fri May-14-04 04:08 AM by barking_23
They start at about 3:30am. Those birds do love the real early morning.

11:30pm 'til about when the robins start up at 3:30am: Those are some really quiet hours. These are the hours for some of the best thinking.

I sometimes wish I could sleep during these hours, but then I wouldn't be who I am. This has been a part of me since I was at least 8 years old (I'm 39 now).

But even a nightowl needs to go and try to sleep. It's 4:03am here now and I'll get a little sleep before everyone else gets up and calls me sleepyhead (or worse).

g'night fellow nightowls.

8. Yes
I can't help it. It's the source of a lot of conflict sometimes too. I still am up by 7:30, but I usually can't sleep until 1:00 at the earliest. I think it's just my own circadian rhythms.

9. I had to work nights
for the first 3 months after I moved to San Antonio, and hated it.

I work 6:30am to 7pm now, and usually turn in between 9-9:30 pm
