I'm getting married this Tuesday - Wish us luck!
My wonderful fiance and I are having our real wedding Oct. 1 2005 but we're moving in together and we're being legally married by her mother (the Mayor of our city) in her office at 6:00 Tuesday evening. We're going to bring Kazoos for the music and exchange ring-pops! Please wish us luck!!!

9. That's when the Mansion for our reception can take us.
Plus she just graduated from UCONN and needs some decompression time before wedding planning begins.

It just seems right to us. We have strong religious beliefs about marriage and want to be really prepared for the ultimate commitment. We feel the legal aspect of marriage is of minimal importance but we want to "use the system" for all the benefits we can get.

Hay man, wish I could make it......You and ______ are doing the same thing me and ________ did when we got married; make it legal before the judge.

Unfortunately, we never planned on telling our families, but the word somehow got out, and we were forced to plan "the big ceremony," which we both were hoping to avoid. Still, the wedding was far better than we had a right to expect, and is one of my most cherished memories; proabaly the greatest day of my life in fact.

CRONGRATULATIONS, BUDDY!!!!!!!

but we need the insurance and tax crap that legal marriage povides. Its kind of cool her mom marrying us. We will still consider ourselves engaged so we're not telling many people.

And judging from your musical taste, you will have some fine tunes and/ or players at both weddings, as well. BTW my wedding was in October as well (outside) and we called it the "Black Boot" wedding since most of the guys ( punk music types) wore black boots.
