Remember this from the simpsons....
Steve martin is guest... Santitation engineer....
He says " Who are you going to listen to? The guy in the bee suit? The guy with the bone in his hair?

Bone in Hair guy says "My opinion is as valid as any man's"
Why do I think of that today?

1. Because you have a bone in your hair?

The best part of that episode is when they carry him back into office and he basically tells 'em they screwed themselves and he isn't going to fix it. Why do I think of that today? Because that's where we libs find ourselves--always having to clean up the messes made by the VRWC.

2. Weren't the incarnations of
Sideshow fill-in-the-blanks "educated" people?

Sideshow Bob - voiced by Kelsey Grammer - character, once de-whistled, was eloquent, well-read, and captivating while reading to children while Krusty was going to trial for the crime that S.B. actually committed and framed Krusty for

Sideshow Mel (current) - has the educated speaking voice that is enhanced by the British accent (which, in many cases, seems to bring legitimacy, intelligence, and grace to most statements)

5. Don't forget Sideshow Cecil
Voiced by David Hyde Pierce - Brother of Bob. Tried to frame him for blowing up a dam. The very definition of erudite.
