I got the job!
I'm going to begin a summer internship with the Atlanta Public Schools in a couple of weeks and will be in my own classroom teaching special ed (at least that's my tentative placement) in the fall.

20. gonna severely curtail my DU time, though
It's an alternative certification program, so once the 13-hour days of the summer program are over, I'll be teaching a full day then attending classes in the evenings.

Damn jobs. ;-)

From what I've seen of your posts, the private school wasn't any picnic for you.

One of my cousins is a school teacher, he's been teaching special ed for years. Junior-high aged kids, no less. He must love it -- he's still at it.
