Coupling
This is a British sitcom, one of the Britcoms we get on one of our PBS stations. It's brilliant! It's side-splittingly funny! It's intelligent and naughty and sexy!

Other fans of the show?

6. Didn't NBC try an American version of it...

7. Maybe three or four.
They seemed to be working from the original British scripts with only minor changes; e.g. the guy who was a Tory became a Republican instead. I was hoping they'd start doing some original material, but then it was canceled.

10. Richard Coyle quit after season 3... And don't bother w/ the US Version.
Season 4 will be Jeffless. Which is a pity, his character MADE the show.

There was a US version made. The jokes were watered down and the actors either had no clue as to how to play the roles, or were people fresh out of acting class. :eyes: The US version BOMBED. (they also pegged it as being a racier version of 'Friends'. :eyes: :eyes: )

Season 3 comes out on DVD in June.

14. Ooh, and an episode guide
...with a quote from Jeff for every episode! From the episode I saw last night:

The Wisdom of Jeff: "Sally could be a lesbian! ...It could happen! She could be having a shower maybe. and probably Jane would be there. And she might happen to say, 'Jane, could you help me soap my breasts?'. 'Your breasts, Sally?' 'Yes, Jane, it's those tricky undersides.' 'Oh, I know what you mean, Sally, breasts can be a real dirt-trap.'"

12. Of the many shows on BBCAmerica, this is yet another favorite.
The only problem is I haven't seen it on quite as much as it used to be.
I didn't even see one episode of the American version, and did that on purpose, I knew it woulnd't hold up.
Too bad Jeff left, he was hysterical. Why did he leave? Another program?

13. I don't know which season they're showing now on channel 21

Last night's episode was the one in which Susan redecorates the bathroom and takes the lock off the door (to the horror of the male characters), and Patrick brings a girlfriend to a dinner party chez Susan and Steve. Madcap hilarity ensues, culminating in Sally unintentionally coming on to and setting up a date with the new girlfriend (who, it turns out, is bi), and in unraveling that mess exposes her love for Patrick to one and all.

I wonder if I can get the DVDs that are out already on Netflix?
