1. Their first album was good
but they kind of lost it after that. I did have a childhood crush on Belinda Carlisle.

4. Early 80s pop has a nice style to it, allowing conformity while...
allowing bands to have individuality. By 1985 the style had vanished though. :-(

00s pop is utterly bland and faceless, cloned and artificial. (and forced)

6. My last year for listening to top 40 was 1987.
1986 and 1987 were still marginally good, but once Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer and Paula Ab(normally)dul(l) hit the big time it was over for me. Besides, the summer of 1986 was when I had my first "real" job and I used the whopping $6 an hour I made to buy SHITLOADS of cassettes from the record store. I wasn't interested in top 40 for long after I found out what progressive music was all about.

9. WOW
you are so fortunate to have had a job in 1986 making $6.00 an hour. Especially a first job! I love most of all of the 80's music..I was a big "Big Hair Band" fan!!!!

8. I do
Go-Go's are great- whenever I have a bad day and need something to cheer me up, I put on their Greatest Hits CD. Never, ever fails.
