1. Tommy had a Roger Daltrey thing going on
Particularly that Mony Mony one and the curly hair.

4. Great song
Draggin' The Line
Tommy James and Bob King
Makin' a livin' the old, hard way.
Takin' and givin' by day by day.
I dig snow and rain and the bright sunshine.
Draggin' the line .

My dog, Sam, eats purple flowers.
Ain't got much, but what we got's ours.
We dig snow and rain and the bright sunshine.
Draggin' the line .(repeat)

Chorus
I feel fine. I'm talkin' 'bout peace of mind.
I'm gonna take my time. I'm gettin' the good sign.
Draggin' the line .(repeat)

Lovin' the free and feelin' spirit
Of hugging a tree, when you get near it.
Diggin' the snow and rain and the bright sunshine.
Draggin' the line .(repeat)
repeat chorus

Draggin' the line . La la la la la la la-la-la.
Draggin' the line .La la la la la la la.

3. How about this one???
Kathleen McArthur
Tommy James and Mike Vale

I work for the father of Kath-a-leen McArthur,
So respectable, so refined.
I tend to the garden, I then clean the yard
And straighten up the "No trespassing" sign.
Oh, they've got a fishing yacht and a limousine,
And a very lovely daughter, Kath-a-leen.

In a house that's fit for twenty, there they sit with plenty,
Independently, high society.
Every morning when I meet her, I tip my hat to greet her
"Well hello, Kathleen, how are you today?"
Kathleen, so serene, Daddy's unaware
Of the mask you wear, and the love we share.

Yes, I work for the father of Kath-a-leen McArthur,
So respectable, so refined.

He really had some good tunes....

5. this one is funny
I Am A Tangerine
Tommy James and Peter Lucia

Hello banana, I am a tangerine.
Is it a dream? Oh, no! I don't think so, but
My head is spinning, I am a carousel.
Don't-cha hear the bells ringin' in my ear?
And I haven't any troubles,
'Cause the friendly, friendly bubbles wash them away.

I am so mellow, I am a jello man.
Yes I am and nothing touches me.
Oh, no, I think it's over
For the fire's gettin' lower, I'm fallin' down.

Hello banana, I am a tangerine.

6. I'm Coming Home
Followup to Draggin' The Line, which I loved but which was overplayed. Nice gospel feel; don't know if Tommy got saved or if he was playing to the Jesus freaks or what, but a fine song almost totally forgotten today.

7. Crystal Blue Persuasion
Look over yonder what do you see
The sun is a-risin' most definitely
A new day is comin' people are changin'
Ain't it beautiful crystal blue persuasion

Better get ready gonna see the light
Love, love is the answer and that's all right
So don't you give up now so easy to find
Just look to your soul and open your mind

Crystal blue persuasion, mm-hmm
It's a new vibration
Crystal blue persuasion, crystal
Blue persuasion
Maybe tomorrow when He looks down
Every green field and every town
All of his children every nation
There'll be peace and good brotherhood
Crystal blue persuasion
Crystal blue persuasion.....

18. As we relive the '60's
That positive tune is well worth remembering... Perhaps as Ruby & the Romantics said: "Our time Will Come"

14. There's an effect on "Crimson and Clover" which I've always liked,
Edited on Sun May-16-04 09:19 AM by elperromagico
where the voices are fed through an amp on tremolo setting. I love that effect and copy it from time to time in my home recordings.
