how accurate a depiction of South Dakota in the 1870s, 80s or whatever it's supposed to be...???!

somehow it seems like "The Sopranos meet "Blazing Saddles," without the laughs.

perhaps it's just that in living next door, it's hard to believe that South Dakota was ever that interesting.
