LOL! Our front door is open,
and there's a bird that's periodically coming to sit on the porch outside the screen door and gripe - loudly - at the cat, who's been trying to take a nap in the living room. Mr. Kitty, who wouldn't know what to do with a bird if it landed in his mouth, has been highly interested. :D

1. When i was growing up a bird use to chase my cat.
I don't know if the cat killed any of the birds, but this one bird had nothing but hatred for my cat. The bird would swoop down towards my cat squawking away.

4. birds do that when
they are protecting a nest. My old cat liked to sit in my garden and a bluejay would buzz him regularly. birds are not timid about protecting themselves, that is why cats have to sneak up on them.

5. Ever seen the "Funniest Home Video"...
...of the bird dive bombing that cat walking across the lawn, and the cat doing a complete backfilp every time trying to catch the bird?

3. Growing up I had a cat who would catch birds
then release them into the house still alive, and they'd flap around the house until someone chased them out. One time the door was closed, so she "knocked" on it. When I came to the door to open it, she looked up at me, released a bird into the house, meowed, then walked away. It was like "Here's a present for you. Bye bye now."

6. Is it a jay? Jays used to divebomb my cats in LA.
The cats learned to stay away from the babies in their nests.

7. it wasn't a jay
although we had one a couple years ago who thought Mr. K had stolen his hatchlings from a tree that had been cut down (we watched another neighborhood cat do it) and dive bombed him for days whenever he went out.

9. Blue Jays are pretty rough.
I sometimes wonder if they want to fight.

8. Yeah, the jays used to intimidate our late Fluffy
They were nearly as big as her, used to yell at her and eat her food (she was an outside cat.) :(
