2. Honestly...
I was so busy the entire weekend. Of course I missed you once I got back here but I didn't really have time to think about much while I was there. I'm just being honest. :(

He's not scheduled to be deployed until next year. He was actually sent to Afghanistan when the war first began and returned home safely. Just makes you realize how much we have to be thankful for to our troops.

Are people gung-ho Bush, Bush, Bush? Or is everyone feeling down, scared, betrayed, whatever, because things are not going well in Iraq?

BTW, in one of my posts yesterday I mentioned a close friend of my brother's who is a Marine deployed in Iraq. He is out of LeJeune.

14. Hope he comes home safely!
How long is he scheduled to be overseas? (not that it won't change or anything.)

The overall vibe is "We're here for a reason." Most of the guys in this particular Batallion (I think that's what you call it) have been overseas at least once already. I tried not to get into the whole Bush thing because I felt like I would be stepping on their toes. But basically, they don't dwell on it. They go out and have fun but they know when they need to get down to business. :shrug: I don't really know how to explain it better than that.

most jarheads just wanted to get it over with. Very few even voted.
