Paramount Pictures is working on a remake of George Romero's THE CRAZIES, the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD director's 1972 horror movie. The original was set in a sleepy Pennsylvania small town that was unfortunate enough to be ground zero of a biological disaster: a plane, containing a military nerve agent, crashed just outside the town and the bio-weapon escaped into the town's drinking water. Take a guess what happens next and you'll have figured out why the film is called THE CRAZIES.

Add on to these two bits of info the fact 1: the studio that produced "Day of the Dead" is making a non-Romero involved sequel to that movie 2: and the fundies are already trying to stop his new film (Marilyn Manson might play Jesus) and the guy can't get a break these days, it seems.
