DRIVER'S SHOCK AS COW TRIES TO LEAP OVER CAR

A Runaway cow left a woman driver in shock - and her car with smashed windows and a dent in the roof. Factory worker Teresa Sully stopped her Renault Laguna when she saw the cow in the middle of the road as she drove through the village of Queen Charlton, near Keynsham.

She waited, expecting it to pass alongside her vehicle, but instead the animal panicked, ran straight at the car and tried to jump over it.

Its hooves smashed Mrs Sully's windscreen and its body went over the top of the car, denting the roof.

Mrs Sully, of Arundel Walk, Keynsham, had been on her way home from a bingo session in Bristol at the time.
