To see 20/20, that is?

Also, is Lasik surgery the same thing as "being healed by God"?

1. No, it is only legally blind if it's uncorrectable.
No, Lasik isn't the same thing as being "healed by God", but then I'm not sure what being healed by God would be like, so I guess I can't honestly compare the two.

I'm very happy with my Lasik results, though.

2. I think a person is considered legally blind
If their vision cannot be corrected with lenses or surgery to a certain visual level, which I think may be a bit greater than 20/20.

For instance, I wear glasses because I'm 20/350 in one eye and 20/250 in the other. With correction, my vision is still not 20/20, but as close as they can get, but I'm not considered legally blind. I qualify for a drivers licence in my state because my vision is good enough with my lenses.

3. Many doctors act like gods
Perhaps that's causing some confusion.

4. Don't worry. I did not come up with those fruity statements. Here's who:
Jessica Simpson.

I was flipping channels and got one of those gaudy "kiss-up 'n' lick-up the celebrity" shows. Lil' Jessie was being her usual dim self in front of the cameras...

7. What a twit
Doesn't it seem that every time she opens her mouth, something cringeworthy comes out?

6. My mother was declared legally blind
her doctor helped her with that since then she's gotten a lot of good low vision aids. Mostly people are declared that so they can get certain benefits. My mom gets book tapes from the state that she really enjoys.

Her vision problems are due to macular degeneration. She has low vision, does wear glasses and her sight is somewhat limited, though the doctors say she will not go totally blind. I'm not sure what the specs are, but you can't read normally and post to a web site like this without visual aid if you're legally blind.
