Most of the M's I have eaten over the years have coalesced into one largish M in my center of mass.

For the past week, UPS has been trying to deliver some sort of a package to me but no one was home and it was a "signature required" item. Well, anyway, I had to go pick this unknown item up at the UPS distribution place in town, only I didn't know where it was, so I had to print out directions from mapquest first. Well, I got there in one piece, and the clerk brings out this monstrous size box. I ask: What happens if I open it, because I didn't order anything?" She says, you got to pay to send it back. OK - it's worth the risk I guess. Here I'm thinking scam, identity theft or worse cause our luck hasn't been too good this year. I ripped open an end and lordy, lordy, there's another box inside with a little letter that says Congratulations! You've won a year's supply of M&Ms from the Online Color contest - Gads, I don't even remember registering for it although I do remember visiting the site a couple times. So, here in the inner box are 8, count 'em, 8 boxes of 48 little bags of M&Ms each. I had to use a dolly to get them to my car and didn't have one at work for the unload, cause it was 80 degrees and I thought they'd melt in the car. PS: I left one of the boxes for the UPS guys to share and one at work - Now what to do with the rest of these little fellows that melt in your mouth, not in your hand!!! Hmmmm......

A peanut dives into a pool of chocolate, swims across, and pulls itself out to don a thin candy shell. Mmmmmmmm!

According to the postal law, if someone sends you something you didn't order, it's yours.

Now let's talk this year's supply of M&Ms shit. Eight boxes of M&Ms is no year's supply. If you don't need to rent one of these...



to get the M&Ms out of the car and into your kitchen, it's not a year's supply.

OTOH, it's 384 bags of M&Ms you didn't have before, which is pretty decent.

What are you going to do with them? How long will M&Ms keep? I'd have diabetes before the week was out, especially if they're peanut M&Ms.

there's a recipe for M&M cookies (sort of like choc chip). I don't think they'll last too long around here. The thing is, there's probably only about 20 pieces in each little bag, so it will take a whole lot of time to get them out of those itty, bitty bags so you can jam them in. I'm getting a bellyache just thinkin about it. Oh, BTW, no peanut, just plain ones in the normal colors.

I didn't think about using them for cooking.
