13. I love that question... AS MANY AS WE CAN GET!
Edited on Tue May-18-04 07:34 PM by nini
Just because you win one year doesn't mean you don't root for your team to win it again - why wouldn't I?. I will always pull for the Lakers to win. If they don't, I don't die and hate the other guys, but I still support my team.

I'm a REAL fan damnit! :-)

25. yea... but get a taste of it then tell me you still feel that way.
:P it's not being greedy, it's rooting for your team.

I'd have no problem with someone like the timberwolves winning a title - but not against MY team. It is good for the game to mix it up with different champs now and then, but not too much - :-)

sorry I can't identify with your pain

4. Sadly, I have to say the Lakers
As much as it pains me, there's no stopping them now after they man-handled the Spurs. Minnesota is too inexperienced, Indiana too weak, and Sacramento too...too...they just suck.

6. Never underestimate the Lakers ability to choke

or one or another of the biggies to get in a snit.

These guys are pros at it.

Minnesota??? They'll have enough on their hands getting by Sacramento. And Cassell has lower back problems.

15. The Heat are one of those pesky teams that never go away
Much like the other Florida team that won the world series, everyone knows they weren't the most talented team. They'll get past them tonight and bring the Trophy to Indianapolis. Count on it.

If you think that his analogy of playing Game 7 being like a war they have to fight is indicative of being an asshole, then you are sorely mistaken...

21. I have to agree
Someone with no character, no heart, would've never made it to the NBA going through what he had to go through. Athletes use war analogies all the time and he apologized for what he said anyways.
