Being from Ky.(your neighbor), I often drive through your beautiful state en route to see my daughter in Philly. I used to go by way of WVa. to see my son in D.C. before he moved back. I recommend the drive to all my friends who head East. Your mountains are lush and safe to drive through (much less traffic than the Pa. Turnpike), your music is varied and most enjoyable (great classical station most of the way) and your people are extraordinary (though I so wish they'd voted for Gore) (Ky. didn't either, which was totally disgraceful.) And most significant of all you are represented by a true statesman, my idol, Senator Byrd. We only have mitch and bunning.

I'm proud of the beauty of our hills and I'm proud of Bobby Byrd! Lots to do here to have a good time if you love the outdoors!

He couldn't help himself, take it from me! I worked around Logan building back bridges after the Buffalo Creek Disaster and I love the people in Logan county! They never give up when the going gets tough! I was with them when the going was unbearable and they never missed a beat!

So at least we can consider DU a haven from ignorant fools who think we're all related or who don't realize West Virginia is a separate state.
