Trying to remember the title of an old monster movie...
filmed in the 70's. The gist of the story was, two youths fall in love one summer at the beach. They carve something (?) signifying their love for one another into the back of a baby sea turtle. Years later a giant sea turtle comes back to terrorize (the same?) sea village. At the end we see, by the carving in it's back, that it's the same turtle. Does anyone remember this movie? Thanks.

1. I think it had Jan-Michael Vincent in it.
(I really have no idea why I would remember something like that.)

2. God's punishment for one young couple's carnal indulgence
What could be simpler than that?
(sorry, I don't recall the movie, though)

3. I'm usually good with bad monster movies
I'm not sure on that one, though. Frogs? Day of the Animals?

4. I remember the film
It was a made-for-TV movie. I remember that the giant turtle and the girl in the movie were somehow connected. Exactly what the connection was escapes me. The boy was a son of a famous marine biologist who was eaten by the animals he studied.

Can't for the life of me remember the title. I remember the film closed with the guy throwing a sea shell necklace over the rail of a boat. And as the necklace sinks you see the turtle with the carving on it's back. You also see the guy's buddy being dragged behind the turtle, drowned of course.

How is it I remember these things? Holy s__t! This is sad!
