Question: when you go to type in the subject box...
Do you get a scrolling menu listing all the subjects you've ever typed with that first letter or word?

Boy, I've typed some WEIRD subject lines... :freak:

10. Safari works quite nicely for me
To get rid of the autofill entries, go to preferences (apple+,). Once you're there, click "AutoFill" (one of the tabs on the top), then click "Edit ..." next to the entry for "Other Forms". Clear everything.

Alternatively, press command+apple+e to empty Safari's cache. I think that'll work as well.

4. Yep
Every time I go to type in the subject box of a new thread, all the post titles that you, m-jean03, have ever typed pop up from like, nowhere.
I was wondering who they belonged to.

You are right. Some of them are VERY WEIRD.

5. Yes, if you're using IE, it is an option setting
that you find in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options (Tools -> Options) menu. Check the box next to "Use inline AutoComplete" and it will save past entries. You would notice the same thing on Google if you have that box checked.

13. Weird... you're right...
I just changed my setting and it is still doing it. I even deleted all my cookies and restarted IE. Now I'm on a mission.

16. Still looking but here's a tip...
If you want to delete a specific item in the drop-down list that's in memory:

When typing information in Web forms, and typing passwords, you can remove an item from the list of suggestions by clicking the item and then pressing the DELETE key.

I'm still on a mission.

6. Isn't that AutoComplete?
You can shut that off. I know married people who definitely should.

8. HA! Funny, true.
Isn't it so obnoxious? When is it ever useful, anyway? I would be embarassed if some of my subject lines were read, for sure. :-)

14. Dunno about Macs and Safari, but...
in Opera you can find the files for bookmarks, history, links, etc. and edit them manually to take out the crap.

Or just delete the files and start again with new ones.
