Who else was disappointed by the Angel series finale?
It definitely felt rushed, like they had the plug pulled on them mid-season, and had to come up with something quick to wrap things up...

oh, wait...

I hope they make good on the promise to make an angel movie later to tie things up gracefully.

1. It did feel like the end
to just another episode.

It might have been different also if SMG had agreed to do the finale. As it was they went on "the great Buffy" hunt. :eyes:

2. Thats SMG's fault!
Her appearance was 'all but signed in blood' but then she backed out claiming prior commitments.

It's one of the things that I won't forgive her for. She's acting like she's too good to help out the shows that made her famous.

3. Exactly
I don't pretend to know the full story there, SMG may have a legitimate gripe for all I know.

But I would think there would be a quotient of "for old times' sake."

Now there is no Joss Whedon on TV and that's very sad.

4. I agree 100%
And I sincerely doubt that SMG had a legitimate gripe. She's always been kind of a prima donna.

5. She can always make a movie with David Duchovny!
It'll be a blockbuster! </sarcasm>

6. Buffy vs The X-Files...
I'd pay to see that!

10. She was out of the country filming something else that she had
already signed for before this came up.

7. I have mixed feelings
In some ways it was the perfect ending (think Butch & Sundance) and in others...well, leaving it open leaves the possiblity of future work. Anything is possible these days if Joss can turn a failed series (Firefly) into a theatrical film.

8. Not me.
It was WAY better than the Buffy finale (which was, in turn, better than most finales).

11. Definitely rushed
But, ending the show in a blaze of glory was a good touch. Joss Whedon would have spent 2 years building up to the end if he'd been able to take the time.
