There is a tool called a "high-speed engraver." Imagine a Dremel that runs at 15,000 RPM. The high-speed engraver was invented by a dentist who liked to take eggs, blow out the insides and carve the shells into lacy designs with his dental drill. Everyone needs a hobby, right? Anyway, he was making a lot of money on the side selling these eggs as pieces of art...until one day he was carving an egg and realized it would be a hell of a lot easier to carve the eggs if the drill bit stuck straight out from the handle. He got someone to make him a straight drill, which as he figured worked like a charm. He liked to do crafts fairs, and he'd sit in his booth carving eggs--someone saw him doing it, asked where he got the tool, and next thing you know he had three sources of income--selling the tools at $1500 apiece (which quickly became his most lucrative source), selling the eggs at $500 apiece (his second most lucrative), and fixing teeth, which he enjoyed very much.

He got out of the dental business when he met one of his customers' mothers in the supermarket and spent the next ten minutes helping to chase down her screaming daughter, who took out running immediately after seeing her dentist.

Because I am bored and this thing pisses me off, allow me to summarize all of the lies in this tract (except for some about what the bible says):

1. I'll say this once although it applies throughout: No one would go to a school, or be a teacher in a school, and say these things to the children. Moreover, people don't act like this in reality -- only in your fantasies, Jack. No, Jack, this is not "the homosexual agenda."

2. "Wife" refers to a woman. A gay man doesn't refer to his partner as his "wife" but as his husband. This is a no-brainer (for everyone but, apparently, Jack Chick)

3. No gay couple I know would kiss each other in front of a room full of elementary school children. We are not ashamed but we know better -- we don't want to invite the kind of hatred Jack incites in this tract.

4. A teacher might reprimand a kid for using the word "queer," and might (unfortunately) even shame him for doing so -- but not in the manner in which Jack's "Ms. Henn" does so. :eyes:

5. "Your father is wrong" - "dangerous" -- no teacher in his/her right mind would say this to a child, even if s/he thinks it

6. "He should be in an insane asylum" -- oh, GMAFB. The mind boggles to think this guy actually thinks gay people believe people like the boy's dad should be in insane asylums.

7. Intolerant = evil? We gays want the intolerant to be in prison? Get off it, Jack.
