ARRRRRRGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Fscking Cap and Gown Debacle!!!!
Ok, Graduation is on Saturday, we were supposed to pick up our caps and gowns yesterday. They did not come yesterday. I called up the company today. Guess what? They still have not come in! :grr: i was told to check in tomorrow. Maybe it's something at the cap and gown company's end, maybe it's a fault at the delivery service's end. But either way, they're cutting it a little close, aren't they?

1. Easy friend
Patience!

Don't you know that the entire Universe is structered to produce as much as possible?

If the items don't come, think of the fun you can have devising your own version of the cap and gown!!!!

2. Look on the bright side
You could have the first naked graduation ever!

It might even be interesting, which is more than I could say for my graduation.

3. IS there any cap and gown debacle worse than...
being forced to wear burnt orange polyester, when orange is the ONE color in the entire spectrum that makes you look dead and disgusting?

I didn't think so.

Our high school colors were orange and blue...but they couldn't get BLUE robes...that would have been FAR too flattering for everyone.

fudge stripe has spoken.

Seriously-- relax. It seems like we had problems getting ours on schedule too, but it all worked out. I almost wish we hadn't, for the reason above.

BTW, I Think they are putting us in red robes.

10. Red's not too bad.
I coulda gone for dramatic lipstick and really teased the hair for red. You can work with red, seriously.

But you're right. Carson would have seized with my orange nightmare. If only he'd been there.

Oh-- and the guy giving out the diplomas had a cast on his foot, so it shows in all our pictures. If THAT doesn't look ridiculous, I don't know WHAT does!

4. Just relax. Follow these steps:
1. Sit down!
2. Put your feet up.
3. Take a deep breath.
4. Think happy thoughts.
5. NOW PANIC -- NO WAY WILL THEY GET IT TO YOU ON TIME!

If they can't get it there on time, there will be graduates, and maybe a few faculty, sitting there without all that dumb regalia.

6. Screw the paper bag...
maybe I should get a hold of a 55 gallon drum, cut out both ends, attach a couple of straps on each side. Actually, an old wooden barrel would be funnier.

7. They make fiberglass whiskey barrels now
That look just like wooden ones, but you can lift them with one hand.

If you're planning to dress in a barrel, get that one. Real barrels are heavy!

9.  I bought my college one at the door of the ceremony
then I ripped it up and made a miniskirt for that night's party.

The high school one.. was blue. That's all I remember about that.

Congratulations!
