Another poodle variation is the schnoodle, available in a variety of sizes depending on the type of schnauzer and poodle used. Schnauzers range from miniatures and standards on up to the giant size while poodles are bred in toy, miniature and standards sizes.

And still another hybrid variety is the bull boxer, originating in Great Britain by mixing a boxer with a Staffordshire bull terrier. But variations are plentiful as other breeders have paired the boxer with many different types of bulldogs such as the pit and mastiff.

So what's next in the kennel when it comes to designer dogs?

How about a bulldog and a Shih Tzu?
