uh oh, it's Mojo/ rant time again!

I am in such a curmudgeonly mood today! I thought, what will give me a good yelling rant and still make me laugh? What else? MOJO!

I am sick of bureaucracy, my son's school making decisions without asking all parents what they think, and being looked at funny when I bitch! (I don't bitch that much, I am pretty calm, usually.)

I am sick of piles of paper (I generate my share, too), and people who think that piles of paper and rules are more important than people! I am sick of war and death and people who pretend it's all okay! RANT, RANT, GIANT YELL, RANT.

but I don't think schools could function if they had to get parental concensus before they make any decisions. It be an awfully big line item in the school budget (and some schools don't have that much extra money lying around). More fundamentally, it might be impossible to get a few hundred parents to agree on any decision, ever.

that's why I'm ranting. The board sometimes makes decisions without much imput and then wonders why people leave. It is almost small enough to have a QUaker-type consensus. :) I just felt like ranting, too, though.
