Sexiest song ever?
I vote "Fade Into You", by Mazzy Star, despite the tarnish to its legacy by its use in that dumb commercial a few years back. That, or maybe something by Portishead.

You?

14. Smoke & Ashes - Tracy Chapman
I'd heard rumors and I'd heard talk
About the trail you'd left of broken hearts
About the sea of tears too wide to cross
But a little bad press has never scared me off
So I burned a path to figure out
How to get me some of what you got
I've got a red hot heart
If the talk is true your's is the same
And we should be together
And let our passions fan love's flame

When I looked for you I almost passed you by
You were so cool and calm I thought my friends had lied
But I thought so much reserve must make you wild inside
It was there and then that I knew I had to get some of what you got

I've got a red hot heart
If the talk is true your's is the same
And we should be together
And let our passions fan love's flame

I thought I'd won your heart when I held you hand in mine
I thought it was true love the way we complemented each other
But my right is your wrong
And when you're right then I'm left with nothing
Your light and your heat have all been spent
Leaving only smoke and ashes
Only smoke and ashes baby

//// ooohh yeahhh

20. Something sung by Joao Gilberto ("Pra Machucar Meu Coração")
Or maybe "Corcovado."

I'm sorry, but ever since I was in college (late '70's) I have found that putting on a Joao Gilberto record ALWAYS leads to the clothes coming off. It may seem corny or kitschy, but even the most painfully hip, aloof, in-control women melt into puddles of lust when Joao sings.

His daughter has the corner on that vibe now... buy "Tanto Tempo" by Bebel Gilberto, and turn the lights down low (Brazilian bossa nova meets trip-hop under the direction of the late, great Suba... the whole record just oozes sexuality, but not overtly).

Also try John Klemmer's "Touch." Instrumental. Sax=sex.

34. Only one song comes to mind...
Adore by Prince
Baby, yes Until the end of time
I'll be there 4 U
U own my heart and mind
I truly adore U If God one day struck me blind
Your beauty I'd still see (Your beauty I'd still see)
Love's 2 weak 2 define
Just what U mean 2 me From the first moment I saw U
Ooh, I knew U where the 1
That night I had 2 call U
I was rappin' till the sun came up
Tellin' U just how fine U look
In a word, U were sex
All of my cool attitude U took
My body was next
U made love 2 me
Like U where afraid
Was U afraid of me?
Was I the first?
Was I your every fantasy? That's why, until the end of time
I'll be there 4 U
U own my heart and mind
I truly adore U If God one day struck me blind
Your beauty I'd still see
Love is 2 weak 2 define
Just what U mean 2 me When we be makin' love (When we be makin' love)
I only hear the sounds
Heavenly angels cryin' up above
Tears of joy pourin' down on us They know we need each other
They know U are my fix (I know)
I know, that U know that I ain't cheatin' baby
They know this is serious
I ain't funkin' just 4 kicks No, this condition I got is crucial, crucial baby
U could say that I'm a terminal case
U could burn up my clothes (U could burn up my clothes)
Smash up my ride (U could smash up..) Well maybe not the ride... But I got 2 have your face all up in the place (Do U think?)
I'd like 2 think that I'm a man of exquisite taste
(I'm a man of exquisite taste)
A hundred percent Italian silk imported Egyptian lace Nothin' baby, I said nothin' baby could compare (Nothin' could compare)
2 your lovely face (2 your lovely face)
Do U know what I'm sayin' 2 ya this evening Tryin' tryin' 2 say
Just tryin' 2 say
That until, until the end of time
I'll be there 4 U Be there 4 U On my heart, on my mind (Truly adore U)
I truly adore U (Darlin')
U don't know what you're mean 2 me
Baby (Until the end of time)
Baby (I'll be there 4 U)
Baby (U own my heart and mind)
Til the end of time I'll be there 4 U (I truly adore U)
Adore U (Adore U) Can I talk 2 U?
Tell U what U mean 2 me
Every time U wander (Until the end of time)
I'll be your eyes so U can see (I'll be there 4 U)
I wanna show U things (U own my heart and mind)
That I show no other, I wanna be (I truely adore U)
More than, more than your mother (If God 1 day struck me blind)
More than your brother (Your beauty I'd still see)
I wanna be, like no, like no other (Love is 2 weak 2 define)
If U need me, I'll never leave (Just what U mean 2 me)
(Until the end of time)
I know, that U know, without U there is no me (I'll be there 4 U)
(U own my heart and mind)
There is no me (I truely adore U)
Without U there is no sea (If God 1 day struck me blind)
There is no shore
Love is 2 weak 2 define how much I adore (Your beauty I'd still see)
U, child
U, child (Love is 2 weak 2 define)
The last words U hear
The last words U hear (Just what U mean 2 me) Until (Until the end of time)
I'll be there for you, baby
(Until the end of time) Be with me darlin' til the end of all time (Until the end of time)
I'll give U my heart
I'll give U my mind
I'll give U my body (Until the end of time)
I'll give U my time (Until the end of time)
(Until the end of time) 4 all time I am with U
U are with me
(Until the end of time)
U are with me
U are with me

Voice like silk, lyrics that smoulder.

Almost any song by her is OK by me.

She's so smooth, she pronounces her name "Shar-day" with only four letters, none of which are an "r" or a "y". That is smooth.

44. Afghan Whigs-- "66"...
The lyrics don't do it justice, because the music is incredibly sexy too, but here they are anyway:

You walked in
Just like smoke
With a little come on, come on, come on
In your walk
Well, come on
I've been waitin'
Are you waitin?
For my move, well I'm makin' it
So tell me baby, can you shake it?
If I can move it with ya
Will you let me take it?
I'll be down on my knees
Screamin' take me, take me, take me, take me
I'm yours
I've never felt so out of control
You don't even know what you're doin' to me
Come on and do it to me
Don'tcha stop
Come on, come on
Come on little rabbit
Show me where you got it
'Cuz I know you got a habit

Also, Morphine "Buena"--same disclaimer as before, you have to have the music with it to truly feel the sexiness:

I hear a voice from the back of the room
I hear a voice cry out you want something good
Well come on a little closer let me see your face
Yea come on a little closer by the front of the stage
I said come on a little closer I got something to say
Yea come on a little closer wanna see your face
You see I met a devil named Buena Buena
And since I met the devil I ain't been the same oh no
And I feel all right now I have to tell ya
I think it's time for me to finally introduce you to the
Buena buena buena buena good good good
It's coming to me yea it's coming to me
Now I I think I know what it is you need
I know some people want to make you change
Well I I know how to make'm go away
You see I met a devil named Buena Buena
And since I met the devil I ain't been the same oh no
And I feel all right I have to tell ya
I think it's time for me to finally introduce you to the
Buena buena buena buena good good good

54. OMG! Afghan Whigs "66" is an INCREDIBLY SEXY song!
excellent choice! It's from the album 1965, for those who want to check it out.
I also offer for your consideration:
the Rolling Stones' "Beast of Burden" and
Jeff Buckley's "Everybody Here Wants You" from Sketches For My Sweetheart the Drunk (lyrics below)

twenty-nine pearls in your kiss, a singing smile,
coffee smell and lilac skin, your flame in me.
twenty-nine pearls in your kiss, a singing smile,
coffee smell and lilac skin, your flame in me.
i'm only here for this moment.
i know everybody here wants you.
i know every body here thinks he needs you
i'll be waiting right here just to show you
how our love will blow it all away.

such a thing of wonder in this crowd,
i'm a stranger in this town, you're free with me.
and our eyes locked in downcast love,
i sit here proud, even now
you're undressed in your dreams with me.

i'm only here for this moment.
i know everybody here wants you.
i know everybody here thinks he needs you.
i'll be waiting right here just to show you.
how our love will blow it all away.

i know the tears we cried have dried on yesterday
the sea of fools has parted for us there's nothing in our way, my love
don't you see, don't you see?
you're just the torch to put the flame to all our guilt and shame,
and i'll rise like an ember in your name.

you know i, you know i,
i know everybody here wants you.
i know everybody here thinks he needs you.
i'll be waiting right here just to show you.
let me show you that love can rise, rise just like embers.

love can taste like the wine of the ages, babe.
and i know they all looks so good from a distance,
but i tell you i'm the one.

i know everybody here thinks he needs you,
think he needs you
and i'll be waiting right here just to show you.

I met a girl in Waikiki in 1986, we swam in the ocean at midnight, and spent the night in her hotel on the beach. In the morning we watched the sun rise and she sang me this song. She had a voice like a fallen angel...

She worked for an airline, and flew out two days later. We saw each other a few more times, whenever she came to Hawaii, and there was such fire between us, but I was young, and very much wrapped up in myself at the time. The best thing I ever did for her was to let us drift apart.

I'm now married to another wonderful soul, quite happily, with many children, whom I love. Still, whenever I hear this song it takes me back to that warm, tropical night, when I fell in love for the first time, and let love leave me, and I almost cry...

Since I Fell For You

When you just give love, and never get love,
You'd better let love depart.
I know it's so, and yet I know,
I can't get you out of my heart.

You made me leave my happy home.
You took my love, and now you've gone,
Since I fell for you ...

Love brings such misery and pain.
I guess I'll never be the same,
Since I fell for you ...

Well it's too bad, and it's too sad,
But I'm in love with you ...
You love me, then you snub me.
But what can I do, I'm still in love with you.

Well, I guess I'll never see the light.
I get the blues most every night,
Since I fell for you ...

Since I fell for you
