Why is it so damn humid!
It's only May and we've had weeks of humid hot weather.

Tried to buy some plants today. They all looked sickly and drooping, not a large variety available. I live in the damn GARDEN State.

Years ago I remember no one started planting until Memorial Day - what's with this!? I was out in the heat and humidity for a few hours today trying to do some yard work and it was awful - check the weather for tomorrow, much of the same.

btw... I'm re-using some wire baskets I bought last year. I bought them made up. This year I have some Impatiens I'd like to plant in them. They're lined with that coconut thing which held up really well. Do I need to soak the liner to get thru the coconut fiber to plant - plants in the sides and bottom? Thanks in advance :)

6. That's become a stock answer around this house.
Whenever something goes wrong it's because ...'hates us for our freedoms'.

Didn't it sound lame from the first time they started that line?

:hi:

4. Its hot and humid as a sonovabitch in Mississippi too

90 degrees, humidity, pollen combine to make it unpleasant outside while its still spring. Thats just not fair.

Most of the nurseries around here are depleted too. I think that when spring fever hits in April, people go crazy and rush the nurseries. There's great variety for awhile and then-bam! its over.

I bought 8 new salvias and 9 or 10 new lantanas this year and so-far they're really doing well!

Can't really help much with the coconut fiber stuff. Sorry :(

Don't know how you Floridians deal with that humidity.
I have in-laws living there and I don't visit between May and September. Been there a few times in August, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwheeee.

11. 79 degrees 14% humidity
in Phoenix right now. In other words - just about perfect. Yes - we'll have the 110+ with 55% or greater humidity soon - there's no doubt about that - but for now - nyah nah nah nah nyah nah.
