2. the Allman Brothers, 1975...
well I didn't QUITE die, but I almost did...either boredom or old age could have done it...at the Superdome in New Orleans (opening week), it was one of those "festival" line-ups...some band I never heard of opened (at 3pm!), then Charlie Daniels, Wet Willie, the Marshall Tucker Band, then the Allmans...they played for what seemed like 3 hours and then said, we'll be back after a short break"(oh, like 90 minutes?)...then they came back and played for another couple of hours...

It was on a Sunday and I was in the Air Force at the time, stationed at Keesler in Biloxi (50 miles away), and had to be on duty the next day, luckily not until 10am, because we finally got back at 3am!

Funny thing is I didn't and don't like any of that type of music (ie Southern rock)although I did have the Allmans Live at the Fillmore and Eat a Peach albums, they were ok but not faves of mine...I just went with some buddies to have a fun weekend in New Orleans!

4. Fell asleep the first time I saw Alice Cooper in 1972!!
Does that count? Due to a friendly guy who was sitting in the womens restroom handing out some freebies. Thank God I hated alcohol or else I might have died.
