Okay... What's The Deal With Fox News' Make-Up Artists?
I've seen better makeup jobs on amateur high school thespians.

Are they TRYING to make their newsreaders look like plastic floozies? There's a time and a place for that Rupaul look... I just don't think that primetime news readers need to look that way.

Maybe I'm wrong. What do you think? Is it just my imagination?

Is the Jan Crouch look in style for conservative news readers?

3. You're not wrong
I always thought that there was a "hootchie mama" element to Fox's female anchors.
I should buy stock in lip gloss.

10. So It's All In The Burlesque Presentation And Not In Actual Content?
They have become grossly exaggerated caricatures of everything that's bad about themselves.

7. Look who their audience is...
and you can see where the inspiration comes from.

When I spend time in glorious GOP country like Nevada or Texas, I can't help but see The Fox Make-up Phenomenon is just the "glammed-up" version of the midwest mall look.

Just last week in the Carson City CostCo. I was staring at this woman -- she had to be in her 40s, and was very tanned, wearing a little blue, denim baby-doll dress with tiny, puffy sleeves and white (cheap) lace trim that was W-A-Y too short and would have looked okay on her 9 year old daughter. Did I mention the little matching pumps? Her hair was poofy, permed, overgelled, and had those nasty, cut straight across the brows bangs (NOT the cool Louise Brooks bangs). The make-up?, well...let's say powder blue and pink played a big role in her statement.

I had a wild urge to pull a Carson and beg her to let me do a make-over on her.

FOX gals are the "upscale" version of that.

9. Their viewers are use to buying sex or using dolls and toys
They can't get it any other way so they have to make their people look like they are either in the sex industry or a sex doll.

11. I used to frequent a TV message board and
you wouldn't believe the posts there from love-sick Repugs who have crushes on the Fox floozies. I actually had to stop going there because no one seemed to want to discuss the actual way in which news was being covered by the cable networks. They were just all fixated on how short the skirts go and how tight the tops are on the anchorwomen-and it all, not surprisingly-centered on the Fox anchors.

It just seems to be a bit over-the-top. Excessive, in an unflattering way.

God help me, I think he's cute.

I know a lot of it is that I desperately miss Doug in the WORST way.

Do you know what it's like missing your man so damned much it hurts?
