Just Watched "Henry II" on Showtime
I think Patrick Stewart produced the movie. Magnificient acting by everyone involved. Mostly a family drama, and I enjoyed every second.

Was there ever a happy Royal Family, anytime in history?

1. The Lion in Winter
I don't have Showtime, but I loved the original with Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn (and Anthony Hopkins in his first major movie role).

2. I loved the original
and enjoyed this one greatly. I thought both Stewart and Close were marvelous. And goddess, the boy who played Phillip is one of the more beautiful creatures I've ever seen. Mezmerizing looks...he could play Alexander's boy lover, whose beauty was famous.

3. Just googled Henry II.
Sooooooo.....bonny Prince Richard (who allegedly had a love affair with the young, feminine King of France) becomes....Richard the Lionheart! And his "pustulent" brother, John, becomes none other than Robin Hood's own King John.

Kick Ass. Thanks for a good movie, Captain Picard/Professor X. Please sir, can I have some more?
