I just sprinkled my bowl of late-night DU popcorn with a LIBERAL dose of grated Clemson (University) blue cheese. I hit a steak with this great blue cheese the other night. It was fab! The steak was from the 8-O'Clock Supperette in Greenville, SC, as was the Clemson blue cheese. The steak was prime+. Much better than Kuby's in Dallas. Oh, am I back in heaven, or what? I also bought six chickens (halved and trimmed). When I cooked that first half-chicken, I realized that I was missing something from the Winn-Dixie chickens in Brevard, like that chemical taste. No joke.
Anyone else shop at the 8-O'Clock? Best meats in the upstate.
BTW: Some are confused (and I am too!). We are gone from Texas. Period. I spend most of my time in the mountains, near Rosman, NC. However, we bought a flat in downtown Greenville, SC. Dr. DemoTex has established her partnership's third office (Chicago, Dallas, and Greenville, SC). We will split the three. But not for tax and voting purposes.
We could easily continue to claim a Dallas address to exempt us from from state income tax. We both said "Hell no!." We really want to join the new communities, and paying the state income tax is part of it. Otherwise, we are dead-beat, tax-dodging assholes, like the really-rich repubs. Know-what-I-mean-Vern?
I'll vote and pay taxes in SC. I just want to be up-front with my DU friends. I'll have my place in NC, and have one vehicle registered in NC, but I'll stick with Nancy in the SC residency.
