How far is it from Dallas to Austin?
I could look at a map, but am too lazy. Am anxious to meet TX DUers when I finally move there (probably next May for me).

3. It depends...
...from the north suburbs, I'd say closer to 4. From the south suburbs, more like 3.

4. I'd say that Austin is about 20 years ahead of Dallas.

But it only takes a couple of hours to travel the distance.

6. I can make it from San Antonio to Ft. Worth
in just under 4 hours.

So depending on how you drive, probably would be somewhere between 3 and 4 hours.

8. So, what great state do you represent?
Or are you too embarrassed to share?

9. You will learn in Texas we do not give mileage.
We do it in how long the trip is. So get used to hearing about 2 hours, 30 minutes, 9 hours, etc. when you ask how far away something is.

10. I already do that!
When someone asks me how far it is from Pittsburgh to Philly, my response is "about 4 hours."
