Anyone seen those late night "Girls Gone Wild" ads on UPN
with the jerk from "The Man Show?" I cannot think of anything more offensive in the way of advertising! (Of course, were I a man, I might think differently; but I hope not.)

1. I'd like to say that Girls Gone Wild represents an anomaly of
American culture, but I'd be lying.

2. Yes indeed
They're inadvertantly hilarious.

Of course, my point of view is, "if I couldn't laugh, I'd kill myself", but that's just me.

3. What part offends you?
The video itself or the fact that they're advertising it on broadcast television?

5. The video itself
I hate it when he says, "Show us where babies feed! It's...it's natural!" and drools all over himself.

4. Yep, and they're the perfect antidote...
...to anti-gay agitprop like "The Gay Agenda."

Every time some RW jerk goes off about how evil and promiscuous and disgusting we homos are, I'd like to strap the idiot down, Clockwork Orange style, in front of an all-night marathon of these videos -- or at least the commercials.

6. I think the producers of those commercials are missing out...
...on an excellent subsidiary ad market. I mean, everyone's already staring at those little bars across the women's chests, and they just say "censored".

They could be saying "Penzoil", "Rice-A-Roni", or perhaps "Bush 04". Although the last may have some trouble with the FCC.

8. I wonder how often those girls hear the phrase...
"Hey, didn't I see you in..."

9. Meet the new VP of Comcast...
:D

There's a joke to be made here, something about putting 'em on the glass ceiling. Sadly, I have not the wit for it. :)

13. Some of the women on those ads
Have sued the "Girls Gone Wild" publishers for using their pictures.

The way I see it, if you are stupid enough to flash your boobs in public, then you have no right to complain when those pictures show up on the internet, on a video, or anywhere else.

11. They know their target audience.
Usually males in their late teens and early 20's.

Sexist? Yes.
Stupid? Yes.

Could be far worse?
You bet.

There still are videos for sale, of homeless people beating each other up for money, women in underwear and high heels stomping hamsters to death, and so on.

If women are dumb enough not to give that guy from The Man Show a kick in where his brains are, and expose themselves, then that's what they do.

14. I'm just waiting for the rumored Jenna Bush naked dancing one.
The "family values" crowd would buy up all the copies they can get their hands on, to fantasize with.
