Which Social Values Tribe are you?
This survey assesses human social values by asking questions about your view of the world, and about your personal goals, wishes, hopes, dreams, and expectations. There are no right or wrong answers to such questions so please be as honest and as complete as you can be when filling them out.

The survey is approximately 30 questions long and takes 10 to 12 minutes to complete. When you have finished it you will be classified into the social values tribe you show the strongest similarity to and be given a more detailed profile of your tribe. This survey is a much shorter version of the standard one Environics uses to diagnose people's values and tribal memberships, and so it has some (known) error surrounding it. However, it successfully classifies users into their proper tribes more than 7 times in 10, on average.

that fits a lot better.

Community -- not really
Experimentation -- only somewhat
Hedonism -- not really

I am more a Disconnected Entusiast.

with just a shade of New Aquarian. Also glad to know that my hedonism is recognized. Too social to be an Autonomous Rebel. However, a couple of points have me confused.

1) It has me as a boomer. Did the baby boom occur later in Canada? I was born in '67, and I always thought that was firmly within the bounds of Gen X.
2) "Higher than average proportion are white collar workers OR unemployed" - Feast or famine, huh?
3) Shirley MacLaine, Celine Dion??? - Don't know if that's the kind of company I would want to keep!

Cool test, thanks a_c!

That was fascinating, but I don't take Madonna or Celine Dion ( x( ) as icons to live by. Ugh.

It's pretty much right on the money in the "age is a state of mind" and "work to live; don't live to work" category"

But I do believe in saving $$$ for the future, and am not quite so hedonistic as that profile suggests.

Edit: My motivations are more in line with Autonomous Rebel: work has to mean something, individuality, and questioning of authority and institutions.

It is annoying though. I just went to a new doctor last week and got annoyed at the forms. I have never seen a form anywhere that has a choice for Other. It is always Married, Single, Divorced, Widowed. Makes one feel like a non-person. Damn it... I am not single. (Well, maybe soon, but not yet.)
