Mythbusters, the TV show, anyone else watch???
Okay, maybe it is a bit nerdy of me, but I think it is a great show. I think the show is interesting, and entertaining. On the episode they ran tonight (a rerun) they were testing myths related to microwave ovens, and one of the guys kept making various forms of tin foil helmets. They also made a gun to fire pennies to bust the myth of a penny dropped from the Empire State Building would crush someones skull. Anyway, does anyone else have an opinion of this show???...Kevin.

2. It's one of our favorites
We watch it religiously, although lately we've only seen reruns. I did especially enjoy the marathon on New Year's Day.

I think my favorite episode was when they recreated the escape from Alcatraz on that raincoat raft. Wow, even if the original guys didn't make it, you have to really admire their tenacity.

Some of the myths they debunk are completely absurd - like the one where the scuba diving woman got pregnant from octopus eggs. LOL

3. I love that show!!!
I don't care if it makes me a geek--I think it is a really fun show. Tonight, the microwave thing was funny as heck with all the tinfoil hats and whatnot, but the one I really liked was the one about the REALLY STINKY car. I about LMAO on that one.

Those guys would have to be a riot to have a few beers with!

How much gunpowder did he put in it?? 5 pounds!

It's a great show. I hope it stays on the air a few seasons.

18. the car one was great...
the funniest part was when Adam took off his breather and exclaimed how horrifying the odor was. His reaction was just classic. At the website, the have a myth or true poll that is pretty good. Such as a chicken living with it's head cut off for 18 months??? or people being robbed at a traffic light by people weilding a snake...Kevin.

4. I liked the one where they tried to beat the breath test.
Mouth wash actually made the breathalyser go higher.

5. I liked the episodes where they blow stuff up.
Like when they made that cannon out of wood, or sent that dummy flying.

But when they let the pig carcass ruin that Corvette, BLECH!

6. I love it!
Those guys crack me up :) The one where they constructed the dummy to pee on the electrified rail line was a classic.

10. Yep.
It took some effort, but they finally proved that one shouldn't urinate on an electrified rail line.

8. 'Myth Busters' and 'Malcom in the Middle' only two non-news that
I watch often.

Myself and my 9 and 13 year old boys love the show.

Lots of reruns, though, they need some new ones. And it comes on at odd times.

16. Maybe June??
According to the discovery channel website, new episodes will start airing in June. Or maybe it is just a myth...Kevin.

11. I agree
I did get a kick out of the one where they were trying to see if a duck's quack echoes. :)

15. the most surprising part
was that they found that it WAS partially true that a quack doesn't echo. Usually I can predict the outcome ahead of time... that one was a shocker.

22. I love the show also!
I have to find the time that it does come on. I always seem to catch it in the middle of a show.

You know dookus I never thought about them being gay or not. I guess I'll have to watch a little more closely next time I see it.

It's funny, but a few others at school were talkin about it.
It's sorta geeky but some of the stuff they test are great...and I love the fact that they blow stuff up!

19. Trombone gun, log cannon, pig in the Vette....
Those were fun. But the one where they took on the "myth" of suction taking you down when a boat sinks....That took some thinking, along with the goldfish training experiment.

21. I liked the Alcatraz episode
That rocked. Sometimes it can be sort of dull, but they make up with it with really good episodes like this one. They're nerd boys-so I guess what may be fascinating to them is not necessarily always going to be fascinating to some of the rest of us.

No way I'm shaving my head, though...I've lived too long waiting for the day I could wear a "Gene Keady"...
