Which famous people came from your state???
And it has to be the state that you're either originally from or the one you've spent the majority of your life living in.

As for me (North Dakota):

Roger Maris
Eric Sevareid
Lawrence Welk
Jonny Lang
The lead singer for Survivor (I forgot his name)
Doug Burgum (A minority owner of Microsoft)

1. Alabama
Edited on Tue May-25-04 01:10 AM by syrinx9999
Dinah Washington (just up the road)
Jimmy Buffett
Sela Ward
Willie Mays
Hank Aaron
Sun Ra
George Wallace (boo)
James Buchanan (I think, and he may have been the only gay president.)
Toni Tenniele (sp?)
Bo Jackson
Charles Barkley (next governor, he's no longer republican)
Courtney Cox
George Washington Carver

millions of others, mostly musicians, I think.

7. He was born in Pascagoula
And went to Southern Miss (history and journalism).

I think he moved to Foley as a kid, though. I've heard him mention Alabama as his home.

Love Lambert's, btw.
