One of his daughters back home went in the hospital for something. The curly-haired liberal became governor, and the "company" sent a new guy to crack the whip--sort of a COO. They completed the fourth house, but it leaks like a sieve.

just considered next in line? Just wondering how everyone felt about the new assignments. And what position does the guy who is cracking the whip have in the heirarchy?

Also did the whole Baptist family leave with their Dad?

was appointed by the outgoing governor. The whole Wyers familiy left. I came in late so I didn't see why they left, but another family emergency would be understandable.

The new COO ruffled a few feathers because he was asking why the one family didn't come to church. It would have been mandatory in 1628, plus Mr Voorhees was on the Council so Mrs Vorhees would have had to go to church especially as a leader in the community.

Mr Vorhees dropped off the council because of this.

Because of the new company guy, they now dig up shellfish in the flats, another income stream and food source. Mostly it's clams and mussels.

They increased lumber production by 30%

Interesting: They finally got a trade deal going with the Passamaquoddy Indians. Vorhees was the chief negotiator for The Colony. They parted with a acouple of axes and a cooking pot for some very nice furs.

The really fun part of the negotionas was that the new company guy remained silent. Vorhees interpreted this as "learning". The next time we see the company guy (can't remember his name), he says it's because the traded pelts were only worth about £6, not worth the effort! LOL!
