21 Year Old Frozen Sperm Produces "Ice Baby"

A BRITISH woman has given birth to a healthy baby using sperm from her husband which had been frozen 21 years ago.

Researchers from Manchester in northwest England believe the gap is longest ever for a successful birth – and may make it into the record books.

In 1979 the child's father had five samples of sperm frozen after being diagnosed with testicular cancer and undergoing treatment which would leave him infertile.

After successful surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the cancer was beaten and 21 years later he and his wife, who want to remain anonymous, decided to try for a family.

1. Lance Armstrong is a big proponent of this technology.
He was smart enough to bank some of his sperm so that when he got married, he and his wife could conceive. There's a fundraiser for that foundation every year down here. I think the former Mrs. Armstrong is still involved somehow.

...I don't know how many "deposits" he made.

He and the first Mrs. Armstrong conceived twice. The second time they had twins.

Who knows if Sheryl Crow wants kids or not. :shrug:
