8. My pit bull terrier, Easy, at the Rainbow Bridge now.

My Rottie, Bear Bear, who died at 12 years old at the Rainbow Bridge with Easy. And my Rottie, Legend, who is almost 7 years old. I hope to have her around at least another 5 years. Oh, and I had a wonderful, sweet rabbit, Toby. I even had him litter-trained.

On edit: I forgot to mention my two boa constrictors. They are ideal pets - don't bark, bite or mess on the carpet. And you only have to feed them every couple of weeks.

9. I like both cats and dogs

but my all-time favourite is a 2 way tie. Both were female Dobermans. Bothe were uncropped and undocked, the way dogs are supposed to be. Both looked like death incarnate to people who don't know dogs but were in reality the sweetest dogs I've ever met. The last one, Lucy was put down last summer after liver failure put her into a coma. I cried for days.

Some of the cats are very close seconds (or would that be thirds?)

15. Not to be crude, but

my ideal pet would be a stuffed one.

I've had quite a few pets in my life, and all of them were more trouble than they were worth.

My neighbors, however, always have the cool pets - the ones that don't wake up the whole city block or piss in other people's doorways.

To be honest, the best pet I've ever had is a stray that I feed. He or she hangs out in a corner of my backyard, and I put out food for him or her twice a day. To show his or her gratitude, he or she kills squirrels and dumps them on my front porch.

And that's still the best pet I've ever had. I don't have luck with animals.
