Sorry folks but I had a business presentation that I set up weeks ago and I couldn't cancel or postpone.

7. Never mind.
I honestly don't know what the heck I was doing because I don't know what time the "speech" happened. I really don't give a crap what that idiot says.

8. Drove across the border to Indiana.
The closest Lowe's is about 15 miles away in Indiana. We were shopping for a new ceiling fan for our BR.

12. Did'ya Find One?
I like Lowe's. The decorating selection just seems to have more taste than Menard's or Home Depot.

My wife just got one for the living room. Looks way better than the old one!

16. I had to buy a remote kit separately.....
Because the only fans that generally come with a remote are too big for our BR. Scale is everything, doncha know.

So, we bought a 48" Hunter, that we can flush mount to the ceiling and bought a remote kit so that we don't have to get out of bed to adjust the fan or turn off the light.

Slick huh?

Also, Lowe's had plenty of brushed nickel wallplates for the switches and receptacles. Something I can't trust the neighborhood HD or Menard's to have.

We were near Rt 41 & Rt 30 in Schererville. The have HD, Menards and Lowe's all right next to each other for convenient shopping.

25. We're Too Cheap To Buy A Hunter
We bought an Orleans, instead. Ours is 54", but the living room is big enough for that. (Not big enough to land a plane in, or anything, but it's big compared to everything else in our little house.)

My wife didn't consider a remote important enough to pay extra. She's cheap, too!

46. Watching 14 year old boys play baseball.
And watching the Kansas skies. I wouldn't postpone a tooth scaling or cancel an audit to watch the man. I wouldn't put off cleaning the cat box, I wouldn't put off replacing all the toilet rings/lids in the house. I wouldn't put off finally killing the poison ivy in the yard. I wouldn't postpone a performance review with a boss that doesn't understand me and doesn't like me. I wouldn't postpone nor interrupt anything.

I was straightening the fringe on my area rugs, next time I'll comb the carpet. That's an excellent idea.
