1. If you call that here
You'll get someone in Redmond - at least you could back in the early '80s before they split up the 206 area code. They were not amused.

5. After they split, they had 867 numbers in Olympia....
....on the west end of town near Evergreen. I actually requested that number (867-5309) in the summer of 1996, but those bastards at Qwest wouldn't give it to me. Probably just as well with all the campaign activity going on in the house that summer, a bunch of calls for "Jenny" would have only got in the way.

11. Oh, I liked it for the first few weeks of the song's popularity.

A few weeks of phone number gags later, and I didn't want to pull my hair out... I wanted to pull a knife out. :D

And, I assure you, my hair was big, and many locks could have been spared. I mean, really, seriously fuckin' big. Teased out and blonde highlighted. It bothered my mother. Never had that weird frontal upward bang; I was always more of a punky girl. Enormous 80's hair... at the time, I modeled it after a dude, the main guy in the band Berlin.

It was good big hair. It rocked. I had to drive with my head in a sideways position, for the most part. Wouldn't want it sticking to the top of the Volkswagen Rabbit, or course.

Thank god for Duran Duran and the sunrise.

Incidentally, it's Rikki who's not supposed to lose that number. Jenny isn't supposed to change hers.
