1. Dubya's story is eerily similar to the plot of "Omen III"

4. Hmmm... reminds me of Harold and Maude...
Somehow, I see W more into killing (frog blowing) than into the dead.

6. Random thought about the photo
What always bothered me about military cemetaries is that all the crosses (and Stars of David) were always lined up in neat rows.

Nice eye-candy for the living, but totally ignores the individuality of those buried there. It makes them just one more cross or star. And families don't get to say anything on the marker.

7. Oh... Believe Me When I Say, That The Families Of The Rich And...
Famous Military Dead, do NOT have teeny little crosses lined up in rows with nothing said on them.

As opposed to...

A wonderful exception was the grave of Audie Murphy! A hero, yet just one of the boys.

I dunno...

9. I think the difference is that the top two were paid for by the family.
When my grandfather died and got his stone from the VA, it was the basic stone; we could have bought something, but my grandmother knew that his military stone was important to him.

They can do what they want with their money, after all...

10. That must have been an OMEN
He is standing in a cemetery as a kid and now he is responsible for so many deaths.
