KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- It was a dangerous joyride, after five kids drove five miles in a pick-up and crashed it in Osceola County on Dahlia Reserve Drive in Kissimmee. At first, troopers thought the driver was 13, but with her correct birth date troopers learned the girl is only 11.
She and three others are out of the hospital, but a 3-year-old remains at Arnold Palmer Hospital in stable condition. Now, investigators want to know how a girl so young was able to drive off.
A large king cab pick-up truck is what the 11-year-old girl decided to take for a dangerous ride.
Michael Sargeant heard the crash inside his home in the Poinciana neighborhood and ran out to find a three, five, 11, 12, and 14-year-old in the flipped truck. There were no adults and all girls.
"It's disgusting, isn't it?” he says. "I mean, they could've killed somebody.”
