Barnett reinstated at Colorado (no one fired)
Just some closer scrutiny.

I just got off the phone with an old friend, it was just announced on sports radio. The only links I can find are from this morning and speculation that indeed Barnett would keep his job.

1. Here in Denver
The press is giving CU president Hoffman a very hard time. The Denver Post this morning blasted her decision to keep Barnett and the paper's lead editorial called on her to fire Tharp, CU's athletic director.

A very disappointing decision. From the local perspective, the investigation was a whitewash all the way with CU balking on providing the commissioners with much of the info they needed.

3. $$$$$$$$$$$$
I haven't really followed this all that closely but I wouldn't be surprised if the amount of money that the football program generates didn't play a part. Sad but possibly true.

AS the ESPN link says "only in Boulder"

2. Apparrently alcohol abuse and gang rape is acceptable at CU.
I can't wait until my Longhorns go in there and kick their felonious asses on the field in October.

4. As a Denver resident, this does smack of a whitewash...
...all this shit began with that sleazebag coach (whose name I can't remember) who started Promise Keepers.

5. Bill McCartney, who let the QB get away with knocking up his daughter
and it's gone downhill since then.

I love Boulder, but CU's administration sucks pretty badly.

6. MCartney also founded the "Promise Keepers"
before that (as you surely know) there were some rather unethical recruiting done to win the allmighty national championship ( excuse me CO-national championship).
