I just watched Fight Club, ask me anything!
One of the best films ever, after all.

1. Didn't you think the ending was lame? I liked the movie, but
the ending was a letdown to me.

Although the ending in the book was good, too.

17. Thanks.
I'm not sure if that's what I would have picked, but the movie ending was not equal to the greatness led to it.

As well as all other databases full of our personal information would be a great thing. Do you?

8. Yah
Don't understand why the terrorists haven't figured that one out. Yet another datapoint illustrating that the terrorists just aren't that bright, ya know?

I'm impressed, upon watching it for the umpteenth time, with how much foreshadowing of the <spoiler> there is, particularly with all the Marla/Jack interaction.

7. Too violent to be the "best film ever"...
Go watch the French movie "Jean de Florette" and the sequel "Manon of the Spring" and then let us know which movies were "better", more intelligent and uplifting.

10. I'll check those out
For what it's worth, I'm not one for violence, unless it's organic to the film. I despise slasher films, or films that are violence for the sake of violence. But some films that contain violence I find to be quite good. These include Fight Club, Natural Born Killers, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction. I haven't caught Kill Bill yet, but from what I've heard, I'll be appreciating that, as well.

11. The violence in Fight Club was not gratuitous
It was central to the story.

16. absolutely
I've been saying that forever. Definitely not gratuitous. People who think it was just about fighting weren't paying attention.

14. First viewing?
1) If so, when will you watch it again?

2) If not, didn't you think differently for Marla the second time around?

3) Do you now want to make some soap?

15. I've watched it
About 8,000 times. I've got the DVD.

I feel sorry for Marla, to be honest. Her confusion is apparent now, and understandable. On first viewing, she appears to be just a bizarre and obsessive and needy person, but she's much more sympathetic when you realise she's trapped in a love triangle with two sides of the same person, and she doesn't realise it, nor does Jack.

I watch it every few months. This time, I've also spotted all the Tyler subliminals before he actually appears. I'm about to embark on one of the commentary tracks, too.

And, yes, I want to make soap. :D

18. Fim is funny and cool but book is better.
I had a problem with those scenes where guys started coming and hanging around and Fight Club grows. Maybe it was the bad acting on the part of minor characters or their goofy frat attitudes They all seemed very unconvincing.

Don't believe me?-- go to yahoo & type "Fight Club homoerotic" & see what happens

There is no such thing as misinterpretation in good movies
