Alanis Morissette... Isn't It Ironic......
She sang on Jimmey Kimmel Live...

"It's like meeting the man of your dreams...

And then meeting his beautiful HUSBAND!"

and the crowd cheered!

I thought it was a cool moment! I felt she was expressing her approval of same-sex marriage, and the crowd agreed.

Did anyone else catch that moment?

1. No, it's not ironic.
Most, if not all, of the examples of "irony" in that song are, in fact, just huge bummers ("a black fly in your Chardonnay", etc.).

Not ironic.

8. I love the song too, Lisa.
Love that album, in fact. She's a true artist in a time that craves artistry. I'm not completely jazzed with the new stuff, but her last album was as rockin' as "Jagged Little Pill."

Don't cha think?

4. Glad someone else noticed
It is, in a weird way, ironic that multiple examples of irony in a song titled, "Isn't It Ironic?" are in fact not ironies at all.

5. amen! i thought i was the only one who noticed that...
...used to drive me crazy trying to figure out how a man who won a lottery and died the next day could be termed an "irony."
but its a smashing song, by a smashing musician.
