1. If only it was that easy.
Does anyone have one of those litterboxes they advertise on television that supposedly does an automatic clean after the cat finishes his business?

My mother has talked about getting one for her cat, but I have horrible visions of a cat getting pinned in by the mechanism. I have a real sweet older cat who would just freeze and not try to save himself.

3. I've Seen Them
$200 for the litter box and another $10 for the specialized plastic bags? Good idea, expensive and I'm certain there's a timer built in somewhere if one can predict when a cat will go.

2. No need for litterboxes
if you keep your kitties outside, like I do! All 13 of them! And now there are no copperheads lurking by my doorstep, which is the reason I got the original two to begin with!

And have always been. Do you get yours spayed and neutered?

5. Unfortunately
I now live in an apartment in a small city.

Do you how much time, effort and money it takes to get to have an "approved cat?"

I launch the litter box on a major street!

8. How absolutely cute.

Thanks for the link to that.

I wish I could post pix of my two babies, but I don't have a way to.

Oh, and...are dogs also worshipped on DU? I'm a dog person, too. One dog, two cats. I've heard that getting liberals to agree is like herding cats, so does having a dog as well as cats mean that I'm more of a centrist than many on this board?

Or am I just taking this all waaayy too seriously?

9. Yup.. we love the doggies here too :)
Do you have a digital camera?? If so, you can upload them to a free site online.. Your isp probably has free space for you.. There is one called photobucket.com (I think)..

If it's not a digital camera, I think you can scan them to yout harddrive and then upload them..

Then it's just a right click away from posting them

Welcome to DU, BTW :hi:

10. Thanks.
I'll try it. I've got plenty of pictures, digital and regular of them all.

It's actually a bit embarrassing to have so many framed pictures of the animals around the house. I've started asking for 8" X 10" and 5" X 7" shots from people I don't even know that well just so I can balance out the animal to human ratio of displayed pictures.

11. Here goes?

That's Duck. She's really special and knows it. Hence the duck avatar.

That's Malcolm (Cat) and Fionna. They tolerate her and she thinks they adore her.

Are these too big to post here as such. If so, I think I need some advice as I've never done this before.

13. Oh, Sara does look like Duck--but specifically...
...like Duck's mom whose name was Artemis and belonged to a neighbor of mine. I let the kittens be born inside at my house and Fionna (the big Lab) would come and get me every time a new kitten was born. She helped Artemis to tend to the kittens, but lost interest in them when they got big enough to start crawling everywhere.

She's really a sweet and patient dog, so she never snapped them--she'd just lie there and sigh as they crawled all over her.

Malcolm is a saint. I swear, that cat might be cannonized one day. Duck is actually the only mean one. One of her nickname is "Meaness".

Thanks for directing me in getting these pictures up. I always love to show people my "kids".
